Assisting Māori landowners with their legal issues

Many Māori land issues can be dealt with by speaking to someone at your local Māori Land Court. See if there’s an application form at the court or online that you can fill in to address your land issue. However, sometimes the legal issue you face will be so complex that a lawyer is required to help out. If you find yourself in this situation, call on Tāmaki Legal’s skilled set of Māori land lawyers to step in to assist with succession applications, lease renewals, trustee breaches, rates issues, occupation orders, access, section 45 applications to correct court error, trust formations, reserves creation, public works takings, owners’ meetings and the list goes on.

We will check to see if you are eligible for legal aid or for a grant of special aid from the Māori Land Court. In our experience, only complex matters are likely to receive a grant of special aid. Our hourly charge out rates are highly competitive. Phone our friendly staff and receive your first half hour of legal advice free of charge.
